Noelia Medina, student of the ESDi, wins the packaging contest by Nomen Earth
Wednesday, 5 February 2020. Noelia Medina, 4th-year student of the , has won the packaging design contest organised by the rice brand . Noelia鈥檚 proposal was focused on the sentence: 鈥100% of the benefits for the environment鈥. To do this, she turned the typical rice packaging design from vertical to horizontal.
Conveying the idea of a natural and ecological product was fundamental, and that is why Noelia decided to opt for different shades of green and a wood texture. According to Jos茅 Luis Gallego, environmental campaigner and ideologist of Nomen Earth, the packaging designed by Noelia 鈥渞eflects the central values of the initiative: commitment, sustainability and common effort鈥.
Last December, Noelia visited Nomen鈥檚 facilities, saw the final packaging of the product for the first time and collected the 1,000 euro prize for winning the design competition.
The packaging designed by Noelia can now be found in selected supermarkets.
