ESDi x Barcelona Gallery Weekend
Tuesday, September 5, 2023. For the second year in a row, the is collaborating with the , which will take place from 14 to 17 September.
The third year students of the are the protagonists of the design of the BGW鈥23 tote bag. They had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of contemporary art by visiting the studio of the artist Alberto Peral. During this experience, Peral shared with the students his creative approach, his career and his sources of artistic inspiration.
The students also had the opportunity to visit the studios of two leading professionals in the field: and . These visits gave them a unique perspective on the work and practices of established artists and designers, enriching their understanding of the world of contemporary fashion and design.

The BGW is one of the international art events organised by the Art Barcelona Association. It brings together 27 galleries of contemporary and modern art. 21 in Barcelona, 5 in L鈥橦ospitalet de Llobregat and 1 in Santa Margarida i els Monjos (Pened猫s). And with almost 70 artists from 20 countries. The fundamental purpose of the BGW is to promote and nurture artistic culture through the appreciation of art galleries as authentic engines of knowledge. They are spaces of experimentation and discovery that allow for connections and encounters between artists, collectors, the public and institutions.
During visit, the students were inspired by the artist, with whom they worked on the prototype and produced a numbered series of 360 pieces for BGW鈥23. As part of BGW鈥23, you can enjoy the great artist in conversation with Luis Bisbe de la Fuente on Saturday 16 September at 12h in the galleries of l鈥橦ospitalet de Llobregat in his exhibition De lo que uno dice / lo que est谩 as铆 / solo doble.
All the exhibitions, which are free and open to the public, will open simultaneously on Thursday 14 September from 12 noon for professionals and from 6pm for the general public. The galleries will also be open from 11am to 8pm on 15 and 16 September, and from 11am to 3pm on 17 September. Discover the full programme .
